A photo of the
old 945 driving away from Sta 2 for the last time. For some of us
this truck has had a lot of good and bad Memories but we will
never forget it and always think about it. The truck was donated to
a town called Cooperstown
in New York and the Men in the photo
came down to take it away. We know that it will serve the community
of Cooperstown well and keep it
safe.

March 1 2008
Members of the
Cooperstown (N.Y.) Fire Department took delivery today of a 1984
Mack Pumper that served the Jericho Fire District for over 20 years.
Chief Jim Tallman and members of the Cooperstown Fire Department,
which include former Jericho Assistant Chief Michael Perrino,
accepted the donation on behalf of the residents of the Village of
Cooperstown.
The 1250
gallon per minute pumper was removed from service in the Jericho
Fire Department in 2007 after being replaced by one of two
state-of-the-art fire trucks. Engine 945 served the Jericho
community since 1982 and was assigned to Trident Engine Co. 3 out of
Station #2 on Cantiague
Rock Road. Chief Tallman indicated that
the engine will continue the fine tradition of service for the
people of Cooperstown, home of the Baseball Hall of Fame in
Otsego County,
New York.
